Why I want to teach…

What inspires me to become a teacher are the students. There is nothing more beautiful and exciting than watching the eyes light up in a child as they are discovering something new! I want to be my students guide in learning about the world around them. Not only do I want to teach them about the core subjects, but I also what to help them discover themselves. Watching and helping students grow up and find out who they are, what their dreams are, what their talents are, what their personalities are would be an honor knowing that I was their serving them in their journeys. I couldn’t think of a profession that would better fit me than teaching. Everyone can remember at least one teacher who has helped them in becoming the person that they are. I was inspired by many of my teachers and their perseverance and dedication to their students. I hope to someday be that teacher that influenced a student and helped them become a better person. I am inspired by the ability to affect and change another individual’s path in life and make a difference in not only a classroom but a community.
